Back through the marked lane and stop with the entire vehicle inside the final boundaries. Begin aligned, use both mirrors, and establish the trailer's path before making corrections.

Alternate mirrors frequently enough to detect drift on either side. A growing gap on one side and shrinking gap on the other show the direction of trailer movement. Do not fixate on one mirror until the opposite boundary disappears from awareness.

Use idle-speed control and small steering inputs. Correct toward the side of drift, then counter-steer to prevent overcorrection and return the tractor and trailer to alignment. Large, late inputs create an S-shaped path.

A permitted pull-up can restore alignment before a boundary is crossed. Stop, secure, and look outside only as allowed. A scored correction is usually safer than gambling on a rapidly worsening angle.

Stop at the required location, keep the vehicle inside the side and end boundaries, secure it, and signal completion as directed. Check the trailer or rear overhang as well as the tractor before declaring the maneuver finished.
