Back through the entrance into a 90-degree alley and stop near the rear boundary with the vehicle straight and contained. The maneuver tests setup, pivot timing, mirror use, correction, and control of front swing and rear tracking.

Use the starting position to create room for the pivot. A poor setup cannot always be repaired with more steering; it may force the front across an outer boundary or place the rear outside the alley entrance.

Steer so the rear enters the alley while watching the target-side rear and the opposite front. As the rear approaches the desired path, counter-steer to bring the tractor around and begin straightening.

A planned pull-up can reduce excessive angle, recover depth, or restore alignment. Stop and secure before any permitted look. Correct early rather than allowing a boundary encroachment or jackknife condition to develop.

Straighten as the combination enters the alley, monitor both sides, and stop near but not across the rear boundary. Confirm that tractor, trailer, mirrors, and rear overhang are contained, then secure and signal completion.
