Alcohol thresholds
A school-bus driver may not operate a school bus above 0.00 BAC; a CDL holder may not operate a CMV at 0.04 or more; the general other-vehicle threshold is 0.08.
Major offenses
A first DUI, chemical-test refusal, leaving the scene, or qualifying felony normally produces at least a 12-month disqualification; placarded-HazMat circumstances can increase it to three years.
Serious violations
Two serious violations in three years produce 60 days; three in three years produce 120 days.
Reporting
Notify an employer of traffic convictions within 30 days and of suspension, revocation, cancellation, or disqualification within two business days.
